Style: Red Skirt Two Ways

I am in love with this red skirt not only for it's color, but also for it's fit and wear-ability! And I didn't even try it on before I put in on my Birthday/Christmas wish list. I have already worn it for a style post once and found myself wearing it again and again. I have never found a pencil skirt to fit me so well and still be so comfortable. It is from Wal-mart, of all places, and it comes in several colors and prints. I have already bought it in gray as well and would like to also get it in purple. I searched on Pinterest for outfit ideas featuring red skirts/pants and almost all of them paired the color with neutrals so I decided to give that a try. First up, red with black and white. I wanted a casual feel as my day included visiting my grandparents, errands and seeing some friends. I feel that the vest helps break up the stripes that would be a little too much on my curvy frame otherwise.

For the second neutral look I went with chambray and tans. This was what I wore for New Years day and all that was on the schedule was going to my parent's house for lunch and such. I have to admit that this outfit is a little busy but I really enjoyed wearing it!

  1. I love them both but the 2nd option is my best! The long sleeve lace shirt with the blue jean top is an awesome combo and goes great with the red skirt. I would have never guessed neutrals with the red but it looks great!
