About

About Us!
We are The Blanz Family to Nicaragua. I'm Michelle, the wife and mom and author of this blog. I have been saved since I was 12 years old and surrendered to missions when I was 16. I took my first trip to Nicaragua with my youth group in high school. After graduating, I went to Bible college where I met my husband, Jeremy, a missions major. We met out freshman year but did not start dating until our senior year. We were engaged the summer after graduation and got married the following spring.

We prayerfully decided to wait a year after getting married to go into full time ministry. We spent that year serving in our church and learning how to be married, while praying about where God would have us serve Him. The day after our first anniversary, we were on a plane to Nicaragua. God's timing in interesting! Through that trip God confirmed to us that Nicaragua was where he wanted us to go as missionaries. A few months later we were approved as missionaries with BIMI. We spent to rest of the year getting ready to start deputation. At the beginning of the next year, Jeremy put in his two weeks notice at work and the next day we found out we were pregnant! Again, God's timing is interesting. We started deputation and I gave birth to our precious daughter, Lila, in the Fall.
Our life at present consists of traveling from church to church to present our ministry plans in the hopes that they will take us on for support. I cook, craft and plan outfits along the way.

About the Blog
I had been wanting to start a blog for a while. I had one in college but was not very consistent with it and eventually left it alone. I love to read blogs but often once I start to read them I have to stop because of the content. I started this blog to be something that anyone could read and enjoy. I also started it as a way to keep a record of what is going on in our lives right now. I hope you enjoy it!
